It’s quite simple really:
- You book your place at a forthcoming Changing Websites event. When booking, if you would like to volunteer yourself to be the lucky recipient of the free live redesign then please tick the appropriate box.
- At each event, we choose one volunteer – based on whichever website best illustrates the 10 Point Plan – and notify them in advance (so it’s not too much of a shock on the day!)
- At the beginning of the session the volunteer is interviewed by Helen to find out what their objectives are for the site, and other key information
- The volunteer will then be sent to a secret location while Helen, Alex and the remaining audience members apply the 10 Point Plan to the website
- At the end of the event the volunteer returns to see the results. Cue tears of joy and gasps of excitement! Or that’s the plan…
- Obviously, what we will have created is a mockup of the website, but we hope that the volunteer will go away, make at least some of the changes to their website for real and let us know the results – which we will then pass on to the audience members via the Changing Websites email newsletter.
- Even if you haven’t had your own website chosen, you go away with some clear, concrete ideas of how to apply the same winning formula to your own site.
- You recommend Changing Websites to all of your friends and together we make over the web… one site at a time!
